BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION:

Name: Autry Lee Dye
Born in Wardell, Missouri

Autry Dye has operated Copper Heron Studios in Gulf Breeze, Fl since 2001. She has resided in Gulf Breeze since 1980.
Traveling in Europe and living in South America has influenced her paintings by exposing her to different artists and methods of
working. Her latest achievements have been writing a book and publishing it. Autry won “Best of Show” at the Pensacola Museum
of Art juried members exhibition, in 2010. She states that while most people recognize her as a visual artist, she enjoys writing.
She has just earned her professional “Letters” membership in the National League of American Pen Women, having held “Artist”
 membership for thirty years. In 2011 she was Co-director for the Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts Festival, and out door event featuring approximately 125 artists. Autry has belonged to many art organizations and have held responsible positions in them, including
President and Vice President, Membership chairman, juror, Board member, Staffing Director, and Workshop coordinator.
