Autry has made Gulf Breeze her home on the Florida coast since 1980.  She enjoys traveling and believes that it has influenced her work by exposing her to different cultures and artists.  For inspiration, she feels like there is no place like home.  Autry has operated her Studio/Gallery in Gulf Breeze, Florida since 2001.

While most people recognize her as a visual artist, she also enjoys writing poetry and short stories.  Her book titled "A Creative Journey" is available from  She has earned dual professional membership in "Letters and Arts" in the National League of American Pen Women. 


Awarded a Bronze Medal from the organization of Arts, Sciences and Letters, Paris, France

Won the 1st National League of American Pen Women award in the First City Competition in Pensacola, Fl.

Accepted juried entry into "Paint the Parks" in the Coutts Museum, El Dorado, KS

Has been Director and Co-director for the Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts Festival
