BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Autry has made Gulf Breeze her home on the Florida coast since 1980.  She enjoys traveling and believes that it has influenced her work by exposing her to different cultures and artists.  For inspiration, she feels like there is no place like home.  Autry has operated her Studio/Gallery in Gulf Breeze, Florida since 2001.

While most people recognize her as a visual artist, she also enjoys writing poetry and short stories.  Her book titled "A Creative Journey" is available from Blurb.com.  She has earned dual professional membership in "Letters and Arts" in the National League of American Pen Women. 


ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Awarded a Bronze Medal from the organization of Arts, Sciences and Letters, Paris, France

Won the 1st National League of American Pen Women award in the First City Competition in Pensacola, Fl.

Accepted juried entry into "Paint the Parks" in the Coutts Museum, El Dorado, KS

Has been Director and Co-director for the Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts Festival

Solo Exhibition at Artel Gallery in the vault.  Variety in Eight by Ten

Awarded First Place in the Okaloosa Public Arts Exhibition

First Place for a short story "Old Sam Brickell Tail" Florida Pen Women State Conference


ORGANIZATIONAL POSITIONS

President and Vice president, Membership chairman, Juror, Board member, Staffing director, and Workshop coordinator.

She has participated in an interview with Allan Peterson, head of the Art Dept. and Jeanne Davis head of Career Counseling for Pensacola State College on the topic of Career Planning for Artists.
